Quality, lightweight , loft & distance improved, smiling face👍

5 out of 5 stars

Quality, lightweight , loft & distance improved, smiling face👍
Fusion formed graphite , flex: regular, trajectory: high Steel, tpu, titanium & tungsten . "Light as can be , with solid whap sound". Higher loft + more distance… I'm told. Recently ordered new set of clubs for my favorite golfer – was still playing clubs from the 70s . I took a stab on the dark on this one as an add on to his PGF set after reading all about drivers and why you would want this degree or that. From my understanding 10.5 is chosen for higher launch with more spin 😉 while 9 is chosen for lower loft and less spin. Chosing one or the other can help correct your tendencies. I dont know much about golf but had definately overheard a desire for more loft and distance – i do listen 😉 but was admittedly clueless until reading about 9° vs. 10.5° drivers howxthat might be accomplished ;)So.. with nothing to lose I went for the 10.5° in standard length ( I read +1 was for people 6'4" and over ) I have some of those giants in the family – not golfers though- so standard it is ! This was an early christmas gift for a retired family member – he's planning a big golfing trip after Christmas, so I couldnt make him wait while this sat around doing nothing 😉 even though I had to wait A LOT growing up, lol. He really likes this driver and is having a good go of getting some time in with it! Happy to see him enjoying new clubs & this driver. So personally I am very pleased with it. It looks very nice all the markings are meant to help line up your shot. Comes with cover. Definitely was improvement over driver he's had since his 20s. I have no doubt about that! Excellent value, drivers can really cost quite a bit! While i can not imagine spending $500 on a single driver – YOU CAN do so. The quality here makes me wonder ifcthose can really be worth 5x more though. This is pretty sweet! Time will tell how it holds up but it is made of high quality materials as is the set I ordered from PGF, which has been holding up to Daily playing without much wear at all. Has definitely improved his game and he's excited to play more and more. Happy to see him having fun. Such a Great gift! Everybody will have their own experience- but based on ours I WOULD recommend.

I went out to the driving range with the new PGF club and my son and I both hit about 75 balls with our current driver and the new PGF Driver. At first look the club looks GREAT, love the grip and feel and was really excited to hit the club. We both warmed up with some iron shots and moved on to our current driver and we were both hitting the ball well. I then hit the PGF driver and EVERY ball was slicing right. I had to extremely over correct and swing from the outside in and could hardly make the ball fly straight. I was really excited to try this club, but I have to admit, I don't think I will every be using this on the course. Maybe if you have a tendency to hook your driver this may work for you, but was not a good club for me.

Wanted to try a 9 degree driver and not spend too much on trying something not sure of. Liked it. Low trajectory. Normal drive avg 240s. Got a few 260s with this club. Good roll after carry.
